History

At Farmàcia La Rambla Barcelona, we have been caring for what matters most for over fifty years: your well-being.
Although the history of this pharmacy has been part of La Rambla for more than a century, it was in 1975 when María Victoria Aguilar Peyra and Eduard Ticó Policart took over and began writing a new chapter marked by dedication, listening, and service.

Since then, we have grown alongside this unique promenade, learning every day from its vitality, its contrasts, and, above all, its people.
Neighbors, local businesses, those who come every day, and those who visit only once—but leave with a smile.
Every face and every story has given meaning to our work.

Our profession is, above all, a commitment: to accompany, guide, and care. This close and human approach has guided the three generations that today form the heart of the pharmacy, together with a professional team that shares our values and has been essential throughout the decades.

We look back with gratitude at the moments that have shaped our journey—from the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, the transition to the second generation in 2005, the pharmacy’s renovation in 2007, the recognition as Ramblistas of Honor in 2008, the 2017 attack, the 2020 pandemic with the pharmacy open as an essential service, the arrival of the third generation in 2022, and the current works on La Rambla started in 2023, which we watch with hope and the excitement of seeing this promenade, so much a part of us, come alive again.
Each of these moments has made us stronger, more human, and profoundly grateful.

Today we continue working with the same dedication as always, keeping alive the spirit that has guided our pharmacy for decades.
Caring for your health and supporting you in whatever you need remains—and will continue to be—our greatest responsibility.
